Location and Accommodations
The entire conference will take place at the majestic seaside resort Hotel Del Coronado, located on Coronado Island in San Diego. Framed between the sparkling Pacific Ocean and Glorietta Bay, the Hotel Del offers its own promenade of shops, fine restaurants and lounges, and is just a short walk from the quaint island community of Coronado. This beautiful historical landmark hotel offers two large heated swimming pools, lighted tennis courts and a full range of physical fitness facilities in its own health spa, along with acres of white-sand beach. Located 20 minutes from San Diego International Airport, transportation is available via cab, rental car or the Coronado Livery.
The Hotel Del Coronado is offering Self Psychology conference attendees special conference rates of $189/Deluxe and $209/Superior. A first night's deposit or credit card will guarantee your reservation which must be made by September 17, 1998 to qualify for the special conference rates. Please Note: The internationally renowned resort sells out nightly, and may sell out in advance of the room reservation deadline. We encourage you to book your reservation early to be assured of accommodations. The hotel requires at least 72 hours cancellation notice to receive your refund. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m.

The response to this year’s conference has been overwhelming, and as a result, the guest room block at the Hotel Del Coronado is very close to being sold out. Please accept our apologies if you are unable to book your preferred accommodations at the Hotel Del.
Hotel contracts are negotiated and finalized several years in advance of each conference, and are based on the past history of the group regarding rooms used. We, of course, plan for some steady growth from year to year. However, due to the high financial liability involved, we are cautious about blocking too many more rooms that have been used traditionally.
Although the Hotel Del Coronado is unable to make available any additional rooms, we can offer the following recommendation for alternative accommodations. We will provide free shuttle service daily between the Marriott and the Hotel Del Coronado. A shuttle schedule will be available when you check in at the Marriott if you mention that you are with the Self Psychology Conference. Alternatively, taxis are available for approximately $5.00 each way.
