Continuing Education Credit

Educational Objectives:

At the end of this conference, participants will have:
1.   Increased knowledge and understanding of the psychology of the self;
2.   Increased ability to apply this knowledge and understanding to their
     clinical work;
3.   Greater understanding of the changing nature of the conceptualizations
     of self psychology;
4.   Increased knowledge concerning self psychological conceptualizations
     of self pathology manifested in behavior disorders;
5.   A more intricate understanding of current issues involving boundaries
     in the therapeutic relationship;
6.   A more sophisticated understanding of empathy, intersubjectivity and
     motivational systems and their role in the clinical process.


This conference is presented by the International Council for 
Psychoanalytic Self Psychology and co-sponsored by the Institute
for Psychoanalysis of Chicago.

The Institute for Psychoanalysis of Chicago is accredited by the Illinois 
State Medical Society to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

The Institute for Psychoanalysis of Chicago has designated this continuing
education activity as meeting the criteria for Category I credit for the
Physicians Recognition Award of the American Medical Association.  Credits
will be awarded on an hour-for-hour basis (Pre-Conference   = 5 hours;
Main Conference  = 13.5 hours).  Each physician should claim only those
hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

The Institute for Psychoanalysis of Chicago is approved by the American 
Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists.  
The Institute for Psychoanalysis of Chicago maintains responsibility for 
the program.  Full attendance at the conference is required to receive CE
credit.  Partial credit will not be awarded.

The Institute for Psychoanalysis of Chicago is approved as a continuing 
education sponsor for social workers by the Department of Professional 
Regulation of the State of Illinois.  The Institute designates this
continuing education activity as earning hour-for-hour credit
(Pre-Conference = 5 hours; Main Conference = 13.5 hours) for continuing
education units.


           Thursday/Friday Pre-Conference program = 5 CE hours.
         Friday-Sunday Main Conference program = 13.5 CE hours.
